CHARACTER OCCUPATIONS
summary
These are the occupations your character has to choose from. The wage is the earn income roll that you will roll once a week, in game. The skill checks listed for the occupation is the only skills you may roll for earn income for your occupation.
This will follow the same rules as Earn Income and any feats that affect Earn Income also affect the earn income roll for Occupation. Your character can still do other forms of earn income, outside of their occupation if there is enough downtime during that week to fulfill the job requirements.
Think of requirements as Edicts and Anathema's for the job.
Keep in mind, your character CAN be fired from their job for poor performance or breaking any social rules for that occupation.
Occupations require downtime to complete. Do not stress about this. Downtime for occupation does not mean a full days of downtime. It will be either day or night. Working night will not affect your long rest.
If the campaign events are happening during the night time, then your character will be working their job during the day. If campaign events are taking place during the day, then your character will be working their job during the night. Again, this will not affect Long Rest. You're characters can request time off from their bosses in the event they need a break or campaign events will be making them unable to work for a short amount of time.
I know this sounds like a lot, but it won't be. Quick skill checks, get money, done. If campaign events are going to take the characters away for a while, don't worry. Your characters job and pay scale will be saved.
PROMOTIONS
Your character can be promoted at their job. Factors for promotions vary by job, but they all boil down to working as much as possible, pleasing your boss, and completing occupation tasks quickly and efficiently.
With each promotion, your weekly bonus will increase by $25.

It's not "just a job", it is your goal. How far will you make it up the ladder? CEO? CSO? Time and determination will tell. What are you willing to do to get there?

ASPIRING ENTERTAINER - RESTRICTED
Aspiring Entertainer - Restricted to ONLY character that took the Aspiring Entertainer campaign background
Skill: Performance Check
Your character is an aspiring entertainer. Whether they are wanting to become an actor/actress, musician, or streamer. One thing is for sure, they want to be famous! Starting out is tough... You have to make a name for yourself and gain fans and followers. There are many lucrative paths in this field. They could gain a sponsorship from a mega corporation leading to lots of chrones overnight, sell out a show at Lumina Colosseum, or land the lead roll in a TV show or movie.
Starting out, most Aspiring Entertainers have a part-time job to pay the bills but you need to balance this. You'll only get rich and famous if you put in the work to do so. It can be time consuming and involve a diet of MeatStuff, cheap fast food, and mega burritos.
Requirements:
-
No amount of days required, you put in as much time and effort you want. You get out what you put in.
-
Gain and please fans, this may even mean adjusting your values and morals.
-
Show up for any fan events you setup. Failure to do so could result in loosing fans.
-
Setup gigs, audition for TV/Movies, stream regularly
-
Sometimes beef between entertainers can benefit both.
Pay Scale:
Pay for this job is a bit more involved. It all depends on how many followers, or fans, they have. To gain followers, we'll be using the Leadership rules. Both of us will be keeping track of how many follower (fans) you have. Your "Organization Level" is your character level. As you level up, gain REP, you gain followers as long as you haven't failed too many downtime checks.
Your downtime checks are used to judge your performance. Successful checks maintain the number of fans you have. Checks that fail to meet the DC, could have the potential to loose fans.
If you fail 4 checks before your next level up, you lose half of your fans.
4 Critical Success, you gain back half of the fans you lost.
We will keep track the amount of current fans, and fans lost. Any fans lost, will have the potential to be earned back as the game progresses. So any fans lost, are not permanently lost.
Example: 7 days of downtime spent focusing on this career - Earn Income Roll Trained in Performance vs DC 18 for level 3. Roll Critical Success. Earn $1 (1gp) for 1 day. 1x7 = $7. At level 3, you have 6 fans.
